Stayed only 1 day, but wish we could have stayed longer. This is a great state park campground with very private wooded sites that fairly spacious. Park is very quiet and an easy bike ride (it'll feel longer if you walk) from most sites to a beautiful Atlantic Ocean beach. There is a small shop with limited supplies and a small lunch stand for the beach. Only downside - be sure to have insect repellent (like for most FL parks). We highly recommend this park.

The setting is outstanding and the park is very peaceful. We stopped for an overnight, but will plan to go back for a longer visit. Sites are large and shady and fairly well spaced out. Some, however, are on slopes, so plan to level your unit when setting up. There is no water at the sites, so you need to having your freshwater fairly full, if you plan to use it. Good camp store with prepared food options - but with limited overall supplies. Road in is a bit of a challenge, so be careful -- that said, a short drive from I-81. We recommend this park.

We did a 1 night stopover at this park on our way north. The good news is - this park is very convenient to I-95 with easy access. And, if you like it, there is a Cracker Barrel right across the street. Also, on the positive, the sites are really long and generally spacious - although not particularly private. The bad news, and there were several things, is that the pool is either out of commission or under repair - but nothing was said at check-in, so I think the former. Then, our site had very low water presure. Finally, after about an hour, our 30-amp service just shut down. Seemed to be only our site, so we moved to another site (office closed and nobody home at owner's house). Bottom line, good overnight stopover in an area with few better options. I would not look forward to being here for any extended period of time.

Great park for an overnight or for an extended stay. Very pretty and peaceful setting and lots to do. The park has a large pool, severaral hot tubs in an enclosed building, and tubing on the river. On site entertainment, food, shop, etc., make this an ideal stopover. Seems like nearly all sites are shaded and pull-thru. We camped mid-week and it was quite peaceful - but we heard it is fairly full on most weekends. We hightly recommend this park and will plan a longer visit when our travels permit.
